These aren't App Store apps — they're installable web apps. There's nothing to download, no account to create, and no updates to chase. You open a tool in your browser, install it in a couple of taps, and it lives on your home screen or in your applications menu just like a regular app. It opens in its own window, works offline in the cockpit or the hangar, and keeps your data on your device. Nothing gets uploaded, nothing follows you around.

  1. Open any tool above in Chrome, Edge, or Brave.
  2. Look at the right end of the address bar for a small install icon — it looks like a monitor with a down arrow, or a ⊕ symbol.
  3. Click it, then choose Install.

The tool will open in its own window and show up in your Start Menu, Dock, or Applications folder. You can launch it like any other app, even when you're offline.

  1. Open the tool in Safari. (Apple requires Safari for this — Chrome on iPhone won't work.)
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top right corner.

The tool will appear on your home screen with its own icon. Tap it to open full-screen, without the browser bar — just like an App Store app.

  1. Open the tool in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Install app (or Add to Home Screen on older versions).
  4. Confirm, and the app icon will appear on your home screen.

On most Android phones you'll also see a prompt at the bottom of the screen the first time you visit — you can install straight from there.

A few things to know

  • Your data stays on this device. It won't automatically sync to your other phone, tablet, or computer. Every tool has an Export / Import button so you can move your data yourself.
  • Back up to cloud storage after each entry. After adding a flight, endorsement, or logbook entry, export your data and save the file to iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or wherever you keep important documents. It takes a few seconds and protects everything if you ever lose or reset your device.
  • Re-importing won't create duplicates. Each record has a unique ID. If you import a backup file that contains entries already in the app, they'll be updated in place — nothing gets doubled up.
  • Clearing browser data removes saved info. If you wipe your browser's site data, the app's logbook entries, endorsements, or flight records go with it. Export before you clear.
  • Updates happen automatically in the background whenever you open the app while you have an internet connection.
  • Always free. No trial, no in-app purchases, no ads.

Built by Cam

I'm a powered parachute and airplane pilot, mechanic and software engineer. I build these tools to help people progress in their aviation journey — whether you're a student pilot, a seasoned aviator, or somewhere in between.

Every tool here is free, fast, and focused on one job. No accounts, no ads, no feature bloat. They work on your phone in the cockpit and on your desktop at the flight school.

I also build custom aviation software — if you're a flight school, instructor, examiner, or aviation business that needs a tool built right, that's what I do professionally through Parachute River.

What tool do you need in your toolkit?

I build what aviators actually need. Join the Discord to share ideas, give feedback, or just talk aviation with other builders and pilots.
